Ms. NatalieFarm Owner/Education SpecialistMrs. Natalie is the reason that Thicket and Meadow exists! She holds degrees in Science and Agribusiness and has been working in Agritourism and Agricultural Education since 2019. She has taken all of her experience and passion to create her own Educational Farm experiences to bring to children and adults of all ages. Opening a farm that can help to educate from preschool through adulthood on animal care, how agriculture works, and how plants grow through Science Education classes is a passion she enjoys. When not teaching classes, she will visit schools and other programs to share information on ducks and chickens with others. When not working, she's an avid reader and can be found at a bookstore, curled up with a book, or building a set of Legos. She also continues with her musical talents by participating in Winston Salem's Tuba Christmas each year. Ms. MadiAnimal Farm Hand/ PhotographerMadi brought the first chickens to the homestead in 2015, with her first 6 pet chickens. She continues to help on the farm with chores, as well as helping to photograph all of the animals on the farm.
She loves to help feed the chickens and ducks their favorite snacks (vegetable and fruit scraps) and getting to spend time knowing all the animals and their personalities. In her time away from farm activities, Madi is a published author and enjoys writing books about talking animals and books from the perspective of an animal. |
